Small Christmas Tree Stands and Ideas

The best portable tree stand depends on the tree height, desired water-reservoir configuration, and whether a mat is needed. Bowling's Last Stand models are reusable steel stands designed for seasonal setup and include adjustable T-handles for securing and straightening the tree. Compare the 6XTS, 8XTS, and 10XTS options against your display requirements.

The available models support different tree heights. The 6XTS supports trees up to 7 feet, the 8XTS supports trees up to 9 feet, and the 10XTS supports trees up to 12 feet. Select a model based on the tree height and the stand's stated capacity rather than choosing solely by footprint or price.

Some models are sold as stand-only configurations, while others include a 48-inch mat. The 6XTS, 8XTS, and 10XTS are each available in configurations that include a mat, while corresponding stand-only options are also listed for selected models. Review the product configuration before purchasing to confirm what is included.

The stands use a trunk-securing procedure involving a lag bolt and three T-handles or T-bolt handles, depending on the model description. Setup instructions specify drilling a 1/2-inch-diameter hole approximately 2 inches deep in the bottom centre of the trunk. Follow the supplied instructions and setup resources for the selected model.
